detailed map of the landing zone

Shortly after the airplane had reached the shore of Lake Constance, the pilot Archie Davis gave the order to bail out. The then 2-year-old Walter Heider, who grew up in Üetwilen, collected all available information on this event.
From this, the probable landing sites of the aircrew are shown on a map.

Mr Walter Heider also mentioned that on the open field just east from the farmhouse (Üetwilen) a propeller and parts of an engine were found. According to his information these parts from Jackpine Joe were removed only after three weeks (and probably brought to Dübendorf).
